SEMICON Southeast Asia 2025 celebrates 30 years of innovation through collaboration

News

SEMICON Southeast Asia (SEA), the region’s premier global electronics manufacturing and supply chain event, will take place from 20-22 May at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

Marking its 30th anniversary and spotlighting the theme of Stronger Together – Collaborating to Navigate Uncertainties and Fostering Resilience, SEMICON SEA will gather industry leaders, innovators, academia, and global policymakers to exchange insights, present emerging solutions, and forge partnerships. Registration is open.

According to a 2024 market insights report by Statista1, Southeast Asia is emerging as a key global semiconductor hub, driven by strong market growth projected at 10.42% CAGR from 2025 to 2029 and rising demand for advanced technologies. Semiconductor production is increasing in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, while Singapore leads in innovation and sustainability initiatives. These combined strengths solidify Southeast Asia’s position as a vital player in supporting chip production and innovation to fuel industry growth.

“Building on 30 years of supporting Southeast Asia’s dynamic and growing semiconductor ecosystem, SEMI remains committed to helping the region meet increased expectations and assume an even greater role in the global industry in the decades ahead,” said Ajit Manocha, President and CEO, SEMI. “We look forward to celebrating this important milestone together while charting the course for the next phase of industry growth.”

“Celebrating SEMICON Southeast Asia’s 30-year milestone in Singapore is a momentous occasion that highlights both the growth of the semiconductor industry and Southeast Asia region’s significant role as a global innovation hub,” said Linda Tan, President, SEMI Southeast Asia. “We’re excited to welcome innovators and policymakers from around the globe to showcase Southeast Asia’s leadership in advancing the technologies of tomorrow and driving sustainability.”
