DISCO Corporation (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President: Kazuma Sekiya) was presented with the 2019 Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) award by Intel Corporation. This is the 14th time DISCO has received this award. The SCQI award is Intel's most prestigious recognition and signifies an elite performance in all critical management systems supporting quality, cost, availability, technology, customer service, and sustainability. In addition, DISCO received the "Distinguished Performance in Safety" award for our efforts regarding safety.

“I am pleased to recognize the winners of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement Award for 2019,” said Dr. Randhir Thakur, head of Global Supply Chain at Intel. “These suppliers are outstanding strategic partners and play an important role in Intel's continued growth. They have earned this recognition through their unwavering commitment to quality and deep collaboration, and their relentless drive for excellence.”

The SCQI award distinguishes best-in-class standards of service, responsibility, and integrity. To qualify for SCQI status, Intel suppliers must exceed the highest expectations and aggressive performance goals while scoring at least 95 percent on an integrated report card that assesses performance throughout the year. Suppliers must also achieve 90 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate outstanding quality and business systems.
