Gigaphoton establishes lithography branch in Singapore

News

Gigaphoton, lithography light source manufacturer, announced that from 1st April 2013, it  started business operations at the newly established branch Gigaphoton Singapore Branch ("GPSB").

Through this Singapore Branch, Gigaphoton will aggressively promote new business opportunities to find potential customers in Singapore by teaming up with lithography system manufacturers as well as further reinforce its local technical support system for existing Singaporean customers of Gigaphoton excimer lasers for semiconductor lithography systems.

Until now, Gigaphoton has developed its excimer laser business in Singapore with Komatsu Asia & Pacific Pte Ltd. ("KAP"), an overseas subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd., as its sales representative.

The firm has established GPSB in order to directly engage in its Singapore-based business operations in the future.

Through commencing business operations at GPSB, which has a close affiliation with the Japanese headquarters, Gigaphoton will be able to offer speedy, top-level service support that will elicit even greater satisfaction from its clients in Singapore, which has been positioned as a vital site of operations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

The branch will provide service support for excimer lasers used for lithography tools in semiconductor manufacturing and sales of associated components.

Since its founding in 2000, Gigaphoton has developed and delivered DUV laser light sources used by major semi-conductor chipmakers in the Pan-Asian, US and European regions.

Gigaphoton's patented LPP EUV technology solutions provide cost-effective, productive lithography sources for high-volume production.
