Microsemi products to be distributed by Future Electronics

Both companies believe Microsemi customers will benefit from strong, worldwide technical support


Microsemi Corporation and Future Electronics have entered into a broad-based, global distribution agreement.

Microsemi offers a comprehensive portfolio of semiconductor and system solutions for communications, defence & security, aerospace and industrial markets. And Future Electronics is a global electronic products distributor.

Under the terms of the agreement, Future will provide worldwide sales, design support and fulfil services for Microsemi's complete line of semiconductor systems solutions, excluding certain government products and services.

Sivetts III, vice president of Worldwide Distribution Sales for Microsemi. "We look forward to forging a strong relationship with the Future Electronics team and driving growth opportunities for both companies while expanding our global customer footprint."

"Microsemi has an extensive portfolio of unique, high-performance semiconductor systems solutions that are a great match with our current line card and our customer base, particularly in the industrial sector," continues Matthew Rotholz, director of marketing, Analogue and Power Products for Future Electronics. "Microsemi products are available from Future Electronics now, and we're currently holding a series of technical training programs to bring our applications engineering and embedded system designers up-to-speed on Microsemi's solutions as quickly as possible."

Microsemi's product offerings include:

· SmartFusion2 System-on-Chip (SoC) FPGAs and IGLOO2 FPGAs devices

· Mixed-signal analogue RF power amplifiers and front-end modules

· Power-over-Ethernet ICs and midspans

· Power/RF discretes and modules

· Communication interface, synchronisation and timing products
