Oxford Instruments branches out in India

News

Following several successful years growing their plasma and ion beam etching and deposition tools business in India, Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology (OIPT) has experienced such an increased demand for its products and support services, that it has opened a direct sales and service office through subsidiary Oxford Instruments India Private Limited.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford Instruments Plc. (based in the UK) will cater to its key market segments of industry, research and academia.

“Providing high technology, market leading products, service and support is at the core of our business," says David Haynes, Sales and Marketing Director at OIPT. “We have worked successfully with our agent Aimil Ltd. for many years to sell and support our products to our Indian customers, and would like to thank them for their long standing commitment to our business."

Haynes also says, "We are now in an excellent position to set up a direct presence in India, and are confident that customers will benefit from having local, dedicated Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology service engineers. Our direct sales representatives and service engineers will allow an immediate line of communication with us, supporting their existing equipment and consulting on future needs.”

Anurag Tandon, Managing Director, Oxford Instruments India Private Limited adds, “The addition of the Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology business to our Indian operation demonstrates Oxford Instruments absolute commitment to growing a long term sustainable business in India.
