memsstar Honoured By NMI For Manufacturing Excellence

memsstar Limited has won the 2013 National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) Electronic Systems Award for 'Manufacturing Supplier of the Year'.

memsstar is a provider of etch and deposition equipment and technology solutions to manufacturers of semiconductors and microelectrical mechanical systems (MEMS).

"The NMI Manufacturing Supplier Group has grown significantly in recent years, and the category seeks to recognise successful organisations within this group that provide vital support to the industry," commented Derek Boyd, CEO of UK electronics trade organisation NMI.

The awards program promotes practices conducive to the long-term health of the UK's electronic systems community. Winners are judged on flexibility and responsiveness to customer requests, quality of product or service, and business impact of service or product.

"It's great to receive this kind of industry recognition for the company's commitment to customer service and support," said Tony McKie, memsstar CEO. "By providing solutions tailored to our individual customer needs, memsstar continually strives to ensure that all our customers can put in place cost-effective manufacturing of their products."

Marking its 12th year, the 2013 awards ceremony was held on November 21st, at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair, London.
