Powerlase installs 1.6kW IR laser for EUV in Japan
Powerlase Photonics, a high power laser company, focused on powerful nanosecond Q-switched Diode Pumped Solid State lasers is shipping and installing a high power, high energy 1.6kW 1064nm laser to the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan.
Developed for industrial applications primarily for use in the materials processing and microelectronics markets, the 1.6kW laser can supply pulse energy in excess of 250mJ with a repetition rate up to 20kHz.
In the application of this laser, Horioka, a professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, will continue his research on the generation of Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) light.
Commenting on this latest shipment, Antoine Kasprzak, Sales Manager for Powerlase Photonics says, "With the installation of our top of the range IR 1.6kW laser in the Tokyo Institute of Technology for EUV research, Powerlase Photonics is demonstrating once again its international leadership on High Power High Energy Q-Switch DPSS Lasers".
Powerlase Photonics Ltd is an independent, high power laser company, focused on powerful femtosecond, picosecond and nanosecond high energy Diode Pumped Solid State lasers. The company has accelerated the introduction of high power lasers into a variety of industrial applications primarily in materials processing, marking, annealing, and cleaning as well as other applications.
