ZTE honours Altera for technical support

News

Altera Corporation has won ZTE's 'Best Technical Support' award.

Telecommunications company ZTE presented Altera with the award at a recent supplier day event in Shenzhen, China. ZTE holds this annual event to affirm and recognise the key role its suppliers play in growing the company's position as one of the world's leading innovators in the telecommunications equipment and networking industry.

"ZTE and Altera have a longstanding partnership and we rely on Altera for providing solutions based on Altera's 28 nm portfolio and power solutions as well as the technical support to help us deliver the highest results to our own customers," says Zeng Zhaoxiang, vice president of ZTE. "We honour Altera as a strategic supplier who delivered best technical support to ZTE in 2013."

Altera's technologies, including FPGAs, CPLDs and power products, are used in ZTE's wireless, wireline and cloud computing offerings. ZTE's telecommunications equipment is used by the world's largest service providers.

"The rapid changes in the communications industry require that Altera work closely with ZTE to enable them to deliver innovative, industry-leading communications solutions with our FPGA technology," adds Scott Bibaud, senior vice president, and general manager of Altera's Communications and Broadcast Division. "Altera is honoured to be recognised by ZTE for the quality and breadth of technology and technical support we provide."
