Adesto reveals new serial Flash memory products

The high-speed, industry-standard block erase products expand the company's product portfolio

Adesto Technologies has expanded its family of industry-standard Serial Flash memory products.

The AT25SF family includes 4, 8, 16 and 32-Mbit density multi-I/O products, with a roadmap for higher density devices. The new products target high-volume, consumer-based applications in which program code is shadowed from Flash into embedded or external RAM for execution.

The AT25SF series incorporates a uniform, block-erase architecture to provide a high level of flexibility for a wide variety of code storage applications. The SPI-compatible 2.5V to 3.6V products feature up to 104 MHz operating speed and fast program and erase times. The devices also include security features such as a programmable security register and hardware controlled locking of protected blocks.

"Adesto is committed to providing its customers a broad portfolio of code and data storage solutions," says Paul Hill, Product Marketing Director. "These new products will help us to meet our customers' need for standard Serial Flash memory and will easily integrate into their system designs. These devices are a natural complement to our full-featured, ultra-low power products."

Samples and production orders of the new AT25SF 4-Mbit and 8-Mbit products in SOIC packages are available now. Samples and production orders of the 16-Mbit and 32-Mbit devices in SOIC packages will be available in Q2 2014.

Adesto Technologies is a provider of semiconductor solutions for code and data storage based in Sunnyvale, California (USA). Its product portfolio includes DataFlash, Serial Flash and Conductive Bridge RAM (CBRAM) memory technology. CBRAM is an ultra-low power, CMOS compatible non-volatile memory that is customised for a wide range of discrete and embedded markets.

Adesto Technologies Corporation currently partners with a number of semiconductor companies in deployment of CBRAM technology in the market place.
