Teknek Celebrates 20,000th Clean Machine

News

Teknek a supplier of contact cleaning and yield improvement technology for high-tech and critical process industries is celebrating the production of its 20,000th clean machine. The CM8 clean machine, which rolled off the production line in March, is part of a consignment destined for China.

Ruaridh Nicolson, Teknek's sales and marketing manager said: "Since we invented contact cleaning in 1984 we have remained at the forefront of our sector through constant improvement and innovation. We have also seen the number of sectors where our technology can help improve yields, quality and efficiency explode from electronics into converting, printing, glass production, solar panels and Flat Panel Displays."

He added: "Asia is now one of our biggest markets and we have substantially increased our presence there in recent years with the opening of new offices and increased personnel numbers.  Our acquisition by Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in 2011 has given us the backing of an $18 billion Fortune 200 industrial conglomerate which has seen us go from strength to strength as the leading global player in our sector not only in terms of market share but leading the way in breakthrough developments in the science of contact cleaning.  We are collaborating on projects with some of the world's leading technical organisations to further advance the scope of contact cleaning technology.

A recent outcome of this research has been that Teknek is currently the only contact cleaning equipment manufacturer whose system is certified for use in high vacuum environments.  This facility is essential in the fast expanding area of printed electronics."
