Uniquify Demos "Fastest DDR4 Memory Performance"

News

Combining Uniquify's IP and SK Hynix's memory components enables 2800Mbps, implemented using TSMC's 28HPM process technology
Uniquify, a high-performance semiconductor intellectual property (IP) and system-on-chip (SoC) design, integration and manufacturing services supplier, has achieved what it says is the industry's fastest DDR4 performance in silicon of 2800 megabits per second (Mbps).

The combination of Uniquify's adaptive DDR4 intellectual property (IP) and SK Hynix's high-performance DDR4 SDRAM memory components is operating at 2800Mbps in a system implemented using TSMC's 28HPM process technology.

The demonstration showcases the performance boost that can be achieved by coupling Uniquify's adaptive DDR4 IP with SK Hynix's high-performance, 2400Mbps rated DDR4 SDRAM memory.

The adaptive DDR4 IP dynamically tracks and adjusts the critical DDR timing interface to allow the DDR4 SDRAM to be clocked at a higher rate and deliver 2800Mbps DDR4 performance without sacrificing the stability or integrity of the DDR memory subsystem.

"We're pleased with the performance results and collaborative relationship we've built with Uniquify," says JH Oh, VP and Head of DRAM Product Planning & Enabling at SK Hynix. "Working together, we've shown that it is possible to achieve enhanced DDR performance by coupling our latest DDR4 SDRAM technology with Uniquify's adaptive DDR4 IP."

Josh Lee, chief executive officer of Uniquify, concurs. He says, "This demonstration of the industry's fastest silicon-proven DDR4 highlights the power of our patented dynamic self-calibrating logic (DSCL) and showcases the performance achieved when coupling it with SK Hynix' leading-edge DDR4 SDRAM components. We are pleased that SK Hynix and Uniquify can deliver the fastest DDR4 performance in the industry. Design teams now have the competitive advantage to lead their markets with an ultra-performance DDR memory interface that is also reliable and resilient because of our adaptive DDR IP."

Uniquify will be an exhibitor at the 51st Design Automation Conference (DAC) in Booth #1013 Monday, June 2nd, through Wednesday, June 4th, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco.
