Infineon: Dr. Reinhard Ploss CEO Until 2020

The Supervisory Board of Infineon Technologies AG has voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Reinhard Ploss for a further five years as Chief Executive Officer. The existing contract would have expired on September 30, 2015 and has now been extended by the Supervisory Board until 2020.

Wolfgang Mayrhuber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, on the decision: "We are pleased that Reinhard Ploss continues his very successful work for Infineon. At the head of the company, he has accomplished a great deal in the past two years with his visionary power. In him, Infineon has a strong voice in the market and in politics. The Supervisory Board is convinced that Infineon will continue with Reinhard Ploss to successfully pursue the path of sustainable and profitable growth."

Dr. Reinhard Ploss, Chief Executive Officer: "I am grateful for the trust placed in me by the Supervisory Board. Infineon is a great company with a strong position in the market. Our strategic approach "˜From Product to System' offers an excellent basis for success in the future. I look forward to continuing the good working relationship with my colleagues on the Management Board."

Dr. Reinhard Ploss has been a member of the Infineon Management Board since 2007, and Chief Executive Officer since October 2012. Reinhard Ploss is a process engineer and joined the company in 1986, which was an operation of Siemens AG until 1999.
