Edge Bead Removal is getting smarter
solar-semi is now offering a new edge bead removal technology specially developed for the processing of large OLED substrates.
Until now, edge bead removal, especially in the case of rectangular and other external geometries, presented a particular challenge for all process engineers. As a rule, manual work steps were necessary, which are inherently susceptible to errors and resulted in a high reject rate. solar-semi's patented smartEBR module now delivers an automated technology allowing the processing of almost all types of substrates.
"For the first time, we are giving our customers the opportunity to process large and non-round substrates up to GEN xx with this innovative technology and to achieve edge bead removal in a consistent, reproducible quality. We are also capable of offering the entire process sequence for flat panel displays", says Konrad Walter, Project Manager at solar-semi.
