Finland focuses on EU-driven semiconductor expertise expansion programme

Kari Leino, Senior Advisor at Business Finland, explains how the EU Chips Act is acting as something of a catalyst to increase interest and activity in the country’s semiconductor sector – with a particular focus on quantum, telecoms and MEMS technologies. Kari believes that Finland’s ecosystem of academic and research bodies, industry and municipalities is well placed to deliver the Chips from Finland programme as part of an overall semiconductor industry expansion roadmap.
